Humans of Le Moyne: Monae Pina ’19

If you asked Monae Pina ’19 four years ago what she would be doing after graduation, moving to Los Angeles, Calif., probably would not have been the answer. In the fall, Monae will be working with preschool-aged children through the St. Joseph Workers Program in the City of Angels. Amazing!

In reflecting on her experience here on the Heights, Monae is most proud of the connections she has made on and off campus and in the classroom. She has used these new relationships to tap into reservoirs of confidence and energy to move her forward on the path she wants to take into the future. In meeting Monae, you will be struck by her calm approach, warm smile, and willingness to be of help and listen.

“Le Moyne has taught me how to communicate with people from different backgrounds. I have learned to be open to learning new things from the people around me. Don't be afraid to try new things. Feeling uncomfortable means you are learning and growing.”
