Chitunga Crandall graduated in 2020 with a degree in accounting and information systems. He is currently a staff accountant in the Financial Services Organization at EY in Stamford, CT.
Chitunga's career path is similar to many of our students: "I arrived at EY by capitalizing on the Madden School of Business network at Le Moyne College. I paid close attention to any relevant opportunities and was never afraid to reach out. The career development office was also instrumental in helping me write a stellar resume and prepare for interviews. The EY opportunity commenced with an email from professor Mitchell Franklin. Then, I immediately went to the career development office to gain insights into improving my resume. I connected with Craig Anderson, who was a senior manager with the firm. Craig connected me to a recruiter, and the rest is history."
Chitunga shared his thoughts about what he appreciated most about his time at Le Moyne: "What impressed me the most about studying at Le Moyne was the quality of the education I received. As a student in the accounting and information systems programs, I enjoyed the technical training that prepared me for my current role. But the courses I took in the humanities have shaped me into a well-rounded global citizen."
He also had some simple, but well-timed, advice to our current students: "Do not ever take opportunities for granted, respect everyone you meet, be resilient, and focus on long-term goals."
