Andrea Tochelli-Ward, Ph. D., is the Accreditation Coordinator at Le Moyne College since 2020. Andrea is a former elementary and middle school teacher with a degree from the University at Buffalo, SUNY in Curriculum, Instruction, and the Science of Learning, concentration in Reading Education. She teaches courses focused on elementary literacy methods for preservice teachers. Additionally she teaches courses for inservice teachers on emergent literacy, literacy assessment and instruction, and teaching children’s literature in elementary classrooms. Her research interests include using children’s and young adult literature in K-12 classrooms, teacher reflective practices, multimodal compositions created by K-12 students and teachers as well as the use of video reflection in professional development. Since the fall of 2022, Andrea began working with the Diverse Book Finder as a coder for books displayed on their website.
