Carolyn Pardee is a graduate of Syracuse University, and was an educator for more than 35 years in the Solvay School District. She was the recipient of the 2009 Syracuse Area Hall of Fame Award honoring Music Educators. Carolyn performed as a vocalist in the jazz group Swing Central from 1994 to 2001. Swing Central received several Syracuse Area Music Awards; The Brian Bourke Award for Best New Artist (1994), Best Traditional Jazz Group (1995) and Best Small Jazz Group (1999).
