Victor Vallo, Jr.

Dr. Victor Vallo Jr. is the adjunct professor of trumpet at Le Moyne College. Dr. Vallo’s career includes teaching trumpet, music education, orchestra and band at several colleges and universities. These include visiting assistant professor of music education and trumpet at the College of St. Rose (Albany, N.Y.), professor of music and Chair of the departments of music at Newberry College (S.C.), Georgia College State University and Immaculata University (Pa.), and professor of music and trumpet at Anderson University (S.C.), Jacksonville State University (Ala.) and Southern Arkansas University. Dr. Vallo received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education with performance honors in Trumpet from Syracuse University, Master of Music in Music History from George Washington University and Ph.D. in Music Education with an emphasis in Conducting from the University of Florida where he was the graduate teaching assistant for both the band and orchestra programs.
In addition to teaching and performing on trumpet and cello, Dr. Vallo has been the music director/conductor of a number of orchestras around the country, which include the Newberry Chamber Orchestra at Newberry College (S.C.), Oconee Regional Symphony Orchestra at Georgia College, Anderson Symphony Orchestra at Anderson University (S.C.), Arkansas Festival Orchestra, Alabama All-State Orchestra, South Carolina All-State Orchestra, Red Mountain Chamber Orchestra (Ala.), Greenville Community Chamber Orchestra (S.C.), Alabama Youth Symphony, Southern Arkansas University Chamber Orchestra, Jacksonville State University Chamber Orchestra (Ala.) and the PMEA District XII Festival Orchestra (Pa.).
