Why an Arts Administration Degree From Le Moyne?

As arts administrators, our job is to provide today’s artists with the framework, resources and support they need to create powerful works of art.

Through coursework and real-world experiences, Le Moyne’s interdisciplinary arts administration minor prepares students to make a difference in the many art worlds – including in the performance arts and management. You’ll learn the ins and outs of organizational planning, marketing and operations, fundraising and much more. You’ll complete an internship, work alongside arts professionals and gain hands-on experience.

Through partnerships with Visual and Performing Arts, Communication and Film Studies and the Madden College of Business and Economics, the arts administration program offers flexibility regardless of your major.

Arts Administration Works With Any Major

Pair your arts administration minor with any major, and you’ll hone your skills on management concepts in the arts, culture and not-for-profit industries.

The Arts Administration Minor

In the 15-credit program, you’ll gain an understanding of the world of arts administration, focusing on not-for-profit organizations, applied arts, communication and film studies and business courses. In addition to arts administration foundational courses, you’ll be able to choose several classes with an arts administration minor.

As [a] ticketing and box office coordinator, I’m doing a lot with the entertainment industry, but I’m also managing people and working with the community. A lot of those things came from what I learned in my coursework in the Arts Administration Program. I’m really grateful that everything I learned could be applied in many different fields and trajectories.”
