When you train in the dance program at Le Moyne, you will develop your artistic technique, study choreography and learn about the performing arts. You will challenge yourself physically and improve your overall well-being while building confidence, having fun and making lifelong friends.

You can minor in dance whether you’re new to it or have been dancing all your life. A dance minor complements any major and develops discipline, balance and focus – skills that will benefit you personally and professionally in business, entertainment and the arts, education, tourism and nearly every industry.

Where Dance Technique Meets Core Curriculum 

Pair your dance minor with any major, and you’ll study dance technique, choreography, performance, diverse dance forms and the history and cultural impact of dance.

The Le Moyne Dance Minor

In the 15-credit dance program, you’ll develop your technique and learn about theatre, choreography and human anatomy and physiology. Choose your focus with electives in voice, ballet, musical theatre and jazz dance.

Student Dance Companies

The Le Moyne Student Dance Company holds workshops and concerts in tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance. The Dolphin Steppers put your artistic abilities to use to celebrate cultural diversity through public performance.

Our dance faculty at Le Moyne has performed internationally – from Dzul Dance in New York City to India. They have studied with the Paul Taylor Dance Company, competed in national competitions and have performed at Lincoln Center.
