Why an Engineering Degree From Le Moyne?
Engineers create rockets to explore outer space and medicine to fight disease. They plan cities, bridges and railway systems and design the digital devices and household products we use every day. From chemical, computer, civil, environmental, electrical, mechanical, aerospace and biological – there are many different types of engineers who work with everything from farms to faraway galaxies.
As an undergraduate pre-engineering student at Le Moyne, you’ll gain a strong liberal arts background and essential skills to excel in graduate school and your future career. There are several programs of study to choose from, including 4+ programs and partnerships between majors. We offer internships and an Engineering Club that sponsors service events, site visits and trips. The sky’s – the galaxy’s – the limit!
Engineering Preparation With a Liberal Arts Core
Thanks to Le Moyne’s core curriculum, as a pre-engineering student, you’ll graduate with an edge – your writing and communication skills will be as strong as your engineering skills.

The Jesuit mission is reflected in our group’s role in the flight control team. We serve the crew by being the watchful eye that ensures their safety in orbit. More largely, the ISS program serves the world in developing new technologies and making new scientific discoveries in space. The flight control team are the stewards keeping the station going, and it is very exciting to be a part of that.”
