Why a Theatre Arts Degree From Le Moyne?

Escape into the magical, centuries-old world of theatre at Le Moyne. From drama and comedies to musicals, opera and ballet, theatre entertains, educates and helps us understand what it is to be human. It also offers a platform to tell timeless stories and share your unique gifts and talents with the world.

Studying theatre as an undergraduate, you’ll broaden your knowledge of culture, art and history and build your confidence, creativity and compassion. Just step into character and you’ll see the world through someone else’s eyes.

In this interdisciplinary program, you’ll train in performance, design and technical skills and put what you learn into the spotlight. The Theatre Arts Department stages several productions each year in our W. Carroll Coyne Center for the Performing Arts and Black Box Theatre. Beyond campus and the local community, you can practice your craft by studying abroad in Italy, Ireland and other destinations around the globe.

Theatre on the Heights Is Theatre for All

The theatre program prepares graduates to excel in a variety of roles in the performing arts and entertainment fields, as well as education, law and business.

What I love most about being in the creative field is that it’s not work for me. It is my hobby. It is what I love. Even if I had a different job, this is what I would be doing for fun. It’s how I bring something to the world.”
