Visiting a college campus can be the most exciting part about deciding where to go to school; but it can also be the most nerve-wracking. We get it! All that pressure builds to one huge question: “Can I see myself here?” Here at Le Moyne, you can expect a visit that you won’t forget - and you’ll have so many people offering to help you along on your journey. Here are some tips to jumpstart your visit to Le Moyne.

There’s always so much going on at Le Moyne; sports games, visiting magicians, trivia nights, and tons of club events. Be sure to check out bulletin boards and flyers as you tour the campus. Also feel free to ask for or pick up a copy of our campus newspaper, The Dolphin, and poke around our website, and Instagram and Twitter pages to see what we’re up to. List any questions, concerns, or interests you have. Don’t be afraid to ask your tour guide, admission counselor, or any student you might run into during your campus visit!

“I wish I had known more about things to do off-campus in the area. As a freshman I didn’t know enough about Syracuse and fun things to do.” Don’t just look at events on campus; be sure to check out the local culture as well. There are plenty of great restaurants, music venues, coffee shops and stores in Syracuse if you want to get off campus and explore for a day. Go see a band at the Westcott Theater and get some food at Rise N Shine, or grab a Nutella Latte at Recess Coffee.

It’s been an amazing experience to still have immense interest in the biological and chemical sciences but have a curriculum that allows me to develop interests in other fields such as classical literature.”

Patricia Dela Cruz ’25 “The tight knit community is what sets Le Moyne apart from others. I love how people support one another here, and there’s so many things to do on campus to not live each day to the fullest. I’ve gone to Catholic schools since my elementary years, and it has always been important to me to grow my faith. Ever since I came to Le Moyne, I found myself fully embracing both my faith and education. Additionally, Le Moyne is helpful in getting you career-ready to take on the world! Overall, Le Moyne has such a diverse range of programs to choose from, with both a dedicated faculty and an inclusive community to support you!”
Matt Osterhaudt ’25 “The community truly sets Le Moyne apart. It’s full of safety nets to fall back on when you need some help, and plenty of opportunities to help you stand out. The people at Le Moyne lift eachother up, with a focus on supporting instead of competing against each other. There’s a bunch of stuff to do, people to meet, and success to be had if you take advantage of it all.”
Hamza-Omar Hassan ’26 “I chose Le Moyne because of the connections I was easily able to make. I didn’t feel like a number, and I found comfort in recognizing the face next to me throughout the day. I love the ability to take the reins on what I want my college experience to be, and to have the safe space to build myself into the person I want to be. I have so many opportunities in a school like Le Moyne, such as going to Tunisia during the summer for studying abroad, being able to act in plays without even being a theater major, and having the feeling of ‘coming home’ whenever I return to the campus.”
