Student Learning Assessment at Le Moyne is the substance and process of teaching and learning.

At its heart, Student Learning Assessment (SLA) at Le Moyne is the substance and process of teaching and learning because it seeks to answer four fundamental questions:

  1. What do we want students to learn?
  2. How would students learn what we want them to learn?
  3. How do we know students are learning what we want them to learn?
  4. How can we improve learning and evaluation?

Given these priorities, SLA isn’t just about assigning grades, but a way to continuously ascertain and monitor if and how program specific Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) are being met, and ways in which we can continue to improve our culture of learning and evaluation.
