Meet This Year's Honorees
Frank Fernandez Business Leader of the Year: Scott Selbach ’78, Executive Vice President, Secretary & General Counsel, Carlisle Companies Incorporated
Discipline, focus and integrity have guided Scott Selbach ’78 from the earliest stages of his career, and continue to do so today. Scott is executive vice president, secretary and general counsel of Carlisle Companies Incorporated, a publicly traded leading supplier of innovative building products and solutions to make buildings more energy efficient. After beginning his career at Bond, Schoeneck & King in Syracuse, Scott has served Carlisle with distinction for 35 years, including in his current position and previous roles as vice president, corporate development and vice president, Europe.
Daniel McNeil III ’77 Risk Management and Insurance Industry Leader of the Year: Lisa Lounsbury, President and Chief Executive Officer, Big I New York and Connecticut
Insurance is in Lisa Lounsbury’s blood. Lisa’s father owned an independent insurance agency in her hometown of Erie, Pa., and she began working for the firm as a teenager. It was through that experience that she discovered that, at its core, insurance is an industry centered on “making people whole and helping them protect the things that matter most to them.” That includes their families, their homes and their businesses. Lisa also learned that, in many ways, insurance is the engine of the American economy. From the beginning, this work resonated with her. She has dedicated her entire professional life to this dynamic, evolving field.
Emerging Leader of the Year: Meghan Corcoran ’10, Associate Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary, Corporate Responsibility Officer, National Fuel Gas Company
If there is one lesson that Meghan Corcoran ’10 learned over the course of her time at Le Moyne, it is this: Leadership and service are inseparable from one another. Meghan witnessed this firsthand in the classroom as an industrial and labor relations major, on the soccer field where she led her team as captain, and during the service trips she took to New Orleans, La., following Hurricane Katrina and to Kenya. Furthermore, each of these experiences taught her that true servant leadership, the kind she has come to admire, is dependent upon connecting with others and understanding what motivates them as you work toward a common goal
