Weekend Details
The committee is charged with helping reach out to classmates, encouraging attendance, sharing ideas on how to personalize the weekend, helping hit your class giving goal. But, most importantly, to have fun throughout the Reunion Weekend! Reunion committee members meet virtually once a month. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement at alumni@lemoyne.edu or 315-445-4563.
At every Reunion, the Alumni Association presents deserving Dolphins with our Distinguished and Ignatian Awards.
We will be offering on-campus housing. Reservations are first come, first serve and will open with registration on March 1, 2025. On-campus housing provides basics (a pillow, an eco-friendly sheet set, and an eco-friendly pillow case). You would need to bring other overnight essentials. The cost is $50 for one night or $75 for the weekend. For more information call the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement at 315-445-4563.

3:00 p.m. | The Carroll College of Arts & Sciences Book Talk Simon’s Pub, Campus Center Travel back in time with two of Le Moyne’s most prolific scholars. Following an introduction by Interim Dean Travis Newton, Ph.D., we will hear from Douglas Egerton, Ph.D. who will share insights from his latest book, A Man on Fire: The Worlds of Thomas Wentworth Higginson. Higginson was a multi-faceted man who was a fierce abolitionist, women’s rights advocate, colonel of a Civil War regiment but also a man of letters who became a mentor to Emily Dickinson. Leigh Fought, Ph.D. will share insights from her book, Sally Hemings: Given Her Time. A woman enslaved to Thomas Jefferson, she accompanied him to Paris where she entered a painful bargain and became Jefferson’s concubine in exchange for her children’s freedom. Over thirty-six years she gave birth to seven children, buried three, and raised four, all while hoping their father would make good on his promise. |

Noon – 1:30 p.m. | Lunch & Learn: Billy Joel Was Wrong: The Legacy of Our Woodstock Generation Drescher Community Room, Panasci Family Chapel Join us for a lunch and learn presentation with acclaimed pollster and Le Moyne alumnus John Zogby ’70. Zogby has spent the past four decades as one of the most accurate pollsters in the world. He is the founder and senior partner of John Zogby Strategies. He is the founder and senior partner of John Zogby Strategies and the “Zogby Poll.” He has polled for and been quoted by the largest news media in the world and his client list has included Fortune 10 companies and global NGO’s. A master storyteller and best-selling author, Zogby examines the intersection of cultural values and political behavior. The program will include a Q&A session as well as the opportunity to pick up Zogby’s latest book, Beyond the Horse Race: How to Read Polls and Why We Should. And, to stay informed, follow his podcast, “The Zogby Report: Real and Unscripted.”Lunch includes an assortment of sandwiches, salad, accompaniments and beverages. $15/ person. |
