Does the thought of choosing a major feel overwhelming? You’re not alone. Many students begin college unsure of their academic path, and at Le Moyne, we embrace that. Being undeclared isn’t a lack of focus—it’s an open door to endless possibilities.

At Le Moyne, we believe undeclared students are explorers, and our campus is the perfect place to help you find your calling. From small classes to personalized advising, we offer a supportive community where you can discover what truly excites you.

If you’re anything like I was my senior year of high school, you may have no idea what you’re doing or where you want to go. But that’s totally cool. Lucky for you and me, Le Moyne LOVES undeclared students. Le Moyne seeks to educate ‘the whole person’ through a Jesuit and liberal arts education-- ‘an education of mind, body and soul.’”

How the TRAC Program Helps You Succeed

Le Moyne’s TRAC (True Academic Calling) Program is designed specifically for undeclared students. Through this program, you’ll:

  1. Analyze Your Interests: Gain clarity on what excites and motivates you.
  2. Identify Your Strengths and Values: Discover what you’re good at and what’s important to you.
  3. Explore Career Paths: Match your skills and interests to real-world opportunities.

But TRAC is about more than academics—it’s about helping you chart a meaningful plan for your four years at Le Moyne and beyond. Bonus: along the way you’ll find out-of-classroom experiences that will transform and excite you (internships, a short-term study abroad trip, research with a professor, entrepreneurship or a service experience in the community)

We’ll Support You Every Step of the Way

As an undeclared student, you’ll work with success coaches from the Student Success Center, who specialize in helping students explore their options.

You’ll also be paired with a career counselor from our Office of Career Advising and Development. Together, you’ll explore professional opportunities, build your résumé, and start planning for your future career.

In your first semester, you’ll attend group advising meetings designed to help you identify your goals and create a personalized action plan.

Every October, Majors Week gives you a chance to meet with faculty and learn more about potential areas of study. It’s a low-pressure opportunity to ask questions and find inspiration for your next steps.

As a TRAC participant, you’re guaranteed a spot in Become You, the first module of Le Moyne’s Manresa Program. This experience combines mentorship, reflection, and small-group discussions to help you grow academically and personally.

Our holistic approach to education ensures you’re supported both inside and outside the classroom. Our Jesuit values emphasize education of the whole person—mind, body, and soul. Choosing a major is just one part of your journey. At Le Moyne, we’re here to help you uncover your potential, explore new opportunities, and discover your true academic calling.
