Le Moyne has received a multi-year grant of $1.275 million from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation (MCHF) to support the College’s Healthcare Advancement Resource Center (HARC). This program helps individuals with international medical training obtain the credentials and training needed to work in the New York healthcare sector. The grant brings the MCHF’s funding for various healthcare programs to more than $5 million.

Launched in 2020 thanks to a $500,000 grant from the MCHF, HARC helps healthcare professionals who were educated and trained internationally obtain credentials, certifications, and additional training or education needed to work in the healthcare sector in the United States. Since its inception, HARC has enrolled and offered case management services to more than 250 participants. With the renewed funding, HARC plans to enroll and support an additional 110 internationally-trained medical graduates interested in U.S. healthcare and enhance its existing services.

Named after a tireless advocate for immigrants, children, and the poor, the foundation funds programs and initiatives across New York State that either provide direct healthcare services or address the social determinants of health.
