Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging

How can the office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) help you?

As a college in the Jesuit tradition, Le Moyne puts care of the whole person into practice. Working closely with Mission Integration and the office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, EDIB offers support to all members of the Le Moyne College community.

EDIB fosters a learning community that respects and welcomes multiple voices, ideas, beliefs, and experiences. You are at the heart of EDIB, and we are committed to helping you realize your dream to live as persons for and with others in the creation of a hope-filled future.

Campus Resources

EDIB sponsors events and programs open to all students, staff, and faculty. One way we care for the whole person is to create opportunities to learn from new perspectives. We invite all members of the College community to participate in these and other opportunities.

Engaging with faculty members, EDIB offers lectures, panel discussions, and workshops that allow participants to expand their horizons, learn about the complexity of culture, society, beliefs, and history, and share meaningful time with other members of the College community.

Located on the 3rd floor of Reilly Hall, the Belonging Lounge is a place where all students can relax, study, and socialize with old friends and new acquaintances.

At the start of each semester, EDIB hosts welcome receptions open to all students and members of the College community. These receptions are a great chance to learn more about the students, staff, and faculty who live, learn, and work on the Heights

As members of a Jesuit learning community, we are called upon to care for others by learning and caring about each other’s cultures. All members of the College community are invited to exercise such care by attending our many Heritage Month events celebrating Black History, Women’s History, Asian American and Pacific Islander History, LGBTQ+ Pride, Hispanic Heritage, and more.

Recognizing the academic achievements and accomplishments of students and honoring their resilience and perseverance.

Student retreats are open to all students who would like to join in community with others. Meals, transportation, and activities provided.

Hosted throughout the year in partnership with various campus offices.

Education is called with its pacifying force to form people capable of understanding that diversity does not hinder unity, rather they are indispensable for the richness of one's own identity and that of everyone... Education is an inclusive movement.”
