Center for Urban & Regional Research(CURAR)
We’re here to foster an economic, educational, social, political and environmental infrastructure for a more just society through an interdisciplinary and active approach to citizenship.
As a Le Moyne Center for Excellence, the Center for Urban and Regional Research (CURAR) creates space for dialogue, innovation in teaching and research endeavors across the academic spectrum to bring together the visions and experiences of faculty members, students and local community and government leaders.

The CURAR Applied Research Fellowship
These one-year fellowship stipends average about $3,000 or higher based on available funding and are awarded to projects involving faculty and research associates in applied scholarship of varying forms. They are intended to support faculty and research associates in developing applied research projects that benefit the community and that include students when possible.
The CURAR Medal
Awarded to a graduating senior, the CURAR Medal is a college-wide award celebrating students from all disciplines. Students must participate in research that is applied to urban and regional issues (i.e., basic research, needs assessment, policy analysis, program evaluation) to be considered.
