Le Moyne Names Fernandez Business Leader of the Year
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … William F. Edwards, a 1979 graduate of Le Moyne, been selected by the College as its 2009 Frank Fernandez Business Leader of the Year. He will be honored during the 23rd annual Accounting and Business Administration Dinner on May 5.
Edwards began his career at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in 1979 as a budget analyst in the system budget department. He quickly rose through the management ranks, and in 1997 he became senior vice president and chief financial officer. In 2002, Edwards was named president of Niagara Mohawk Grid and senior vice president of National Grid USA. Edwards currently serves as executive vice president of U.S. shared services at National Grid. In addition, Edwards serves as a member of the Le Moyne College Board of Trustees.
The Frank Fernandez Business Leader of the Year award is named after a long-time faculty member and friend of Le Moyne College and is presented annually to a graduate of the College in recognition of professional and civic achievement.
