Talk by Editor of Jesuit Journal on "The Historical Context of the Jesuit Restoration"
In 1773 the Society of Jesus was suppressed. In 1814 it was restored. What happened? Why did it happen? And what does it mean for us today?
On Thursday, April 3 at 7 p.m., in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the restoration of the Society of Jesus, the Jesuit Community at Le Moyne College invites you to join them for a talk by Dr. Robert A. Maryks on “The Historical Context of the Jesuit Restoration.” Dr. Maryks is a professor at Boston College and the editor-in chief of the new Journal of Jesuit Studies. The talk will take place in the Panasci Family Chapel.
At the conclusion of the talk there will be time for Q and A, followed by refreshments and informal conversation.
