Le Moyne College Hosts Talk on Black Abolitionism
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … Le Moyne College will host a talk by Graham Russell Hodges on Friday, Feb. 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Reilley Room, located in Reilly Hall. His lecture is titled “David Ruggles and Radical Black Abolitionism in New York.”
Graham Russell Hodges is a professor of history and Africana studies at Colgate University. His many books include "A Whole-Souled Man: David Ruggles and the Rise of Radical Black Abolitionism," "Friends of Liberty" and "Black Itinerants of the Gospel." His specialties include Colonial and revolutionary American history, social history, labor and urban America.
