    A Matter of (Two) Degrees

When Angelica Clements transferred to Le Moyne in Fall 2016, little did she know her academic career would include not one but two degrees from the College.

“I had been to visit the campus several times and enjoyed the friendliness of students and staff, the strong academics, the Jesuit values, and the many opportunities to grow personally and professionally,” said Clements, a native of Elizaville, N.Y. who transferred from SUNY Ulster.

Upon arrival on the Heights, Clements became immersed in campus life. Among her activities were serving as vice president of the French Club, secretary of the Art Club, and a member of several societies, including Tau Sigma Honor Society, Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society, Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society and Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society.

To provide support to others who began their academic career elsewhere, she has also served as a transfer student peer mentor to help them through the transition. “Once you come to Le Moyne, you have a family forever,” she said. “The campus is incredibly supportive and you will make lifelong friends.”

With a B.A. in history under her belt, she continued on at Le Moyne and is currently working on getting her Masters in Arts Administration and serving as a grad assistant in the College's Office of Advancement. Currently working as a development and program manager for Father Champlin's Guardian Angel Society, she expects to stay with the organization after completing her masters in 2021.
