STRIVE students live on Le Moyne College campus for 4 weeks during the summer season. Within that time frame, students are enrolled in two college courses that are typically taught by Le Moyne faculty or alumni. Students visit popular attractions like Destiny USA and Corning Museum, participate in physical activities like martial arts and fencing, share their talents in a talent showcase, receive one on one assistance from specialist in orientation and mobility, participate in the STRIVE graduation ceremony at the end of the summer program, and are involved in a host of other social and artistic activities that students get to enjoy during their stay.
STRIVE students are monitored 24/7 by their Tutor Counselors (TCs), who are current Le Moyne students dedicated to their role as peer counselors. The TCs are trained to support STRIVE participants in various ways and are passionate about working with these high school students to ensure that they are safe, gaining new experiences and of course, having a great time.
